Why does using an infrared thermometer to measure the mat's surface not reach the advertised 100°C (215°F)?
Max temp is 95±5°C, set with negative tolerance to protect tabletops like solid wood or marble from damage due to prolonged high temps. Varied emissivity settings on infrared thermometers cause errors.For accuracy, use a thermocouple thermometer.
