*Damascus steel requires numerous layers of steel forged on different steels. On top of a forged layer of VG10 core steel, there are 33 layers of Damascus steel on each side. During the production of Damascus steel, the steel is heated in a fire. The steel absorbs the carbon from the coal. By folding again and again, the carbon is distributed throughout the steel. Carbon makes steel stronger. Then it undergoes an ice forging process at minus 100 degrees, which makes the Damascus steel knife stronger than similar knives, and the blade hardness can reach HRC 60 ± 2.
*One of the characteristics of Damascus steel is its beautiful waveline, which is created through multiple folding and forging processes. These folding and forging processes not only increase the strength and toughness of the steel, but also create this unique texture.
*Rather than being laser-engraved, the true Damascus pattern is embedded so deeply into the blade that it cannot simply be sharpened away.

This knife set is made from Damascus steel and is surprisingly robust and solid.
